Melancholy

July 21st 2007 in Random Thoughts

There was something I wanted to add in here the other day and I sort of want to add it now, but it’s a humorous thing I saw at a local Walmart, but I’m not feeling particularly jocular tonight.  Tonight I have a glass of Knob Creek with a couple of ice cubes, my Bose triports on my head and the ipod playing soft, melancholic jazz.  Tonight I’m driving on the Pacific Coast Highway with only my thoughts and the breathtaking scenery unfolding before my eyes.  That’s one of my serene places my mind wanders off too when it needs a little escape.  I would like very much to go back soon and re-live some of the past experiences that bring serenity back in mind…Pebble beach just after rain with a rainbow in the background and the grass so green it looks painted, the sun setting on San Francisco Bay – watching it from the Golden Gate bridge, a clear sunny day on Santa Monica pier, a sunset on the beach in San Diego, a lazy afternoon in the Florida keys with the smell of coconut and sweet guava pie everywhere, where time passes just a little slower than on the mainland.  It’s one of the reasons why I take hundreds, and thousands of pictures…to relive those fantastic memories from being in places that make you tingle just by being there and soaking in the surroundings, so that face turns from a grimace to a smile.  It’s almost turning to a smile just thinking about it.

P.S Hey chicken-claw how r u doing? Hope everything is well with you and you’re still hanging in there and not giving up.  Hope to see you soon.  Miss you.
