Rant

So there’s another picnic in the works at the office.  I’ve decided a while back that I will never participate in one of those again, or even be around when there’s such an event.  Why? Well, the details are too petty to even go into, but sufficed to say that on two occasions now I’ve been burned, and so I to avoid the 3rd time, I’m just staying away  Shouldn’t have to be like that but it’s like the old saying goes … once burned twice shy.

Hot hot hot, nice and Hot in the D.  Summer hasn’t even officially started yet and lawns are already burning and water pressure is down.  I notice when I go home in the evening the water pressure sucks, and it been yellow too often lately.  But I’m not really complaining here, I was so sick of winter and gray skies and gloominess that I am enjoying this sunshine quite a bit.   We’ve planted the garden a few weeks ago, hauled almost 4 yards of dirt in the garden.  Wow…back-breaking work.

Up-north trips coming up next month.  I’ll be out and about quite a bit.  Have 2 for-sure up-north trips planned, and a third possible in July.  Hoping to do a lot of fishing and just really enjoy July and the warm weather.

Speaking of gardening and specifically watering the lawn…wow, what a pain!  I’ve been constantly looking at some solutions for making watering the garden automated.  I think at this point the only think I’m missing is a timer and I should be good.
