Lunch Amusement
The first post of 2007. Here’s a funny story from lunch a week ago. There’s this Thai place on Woodward ave not far from the office which I frequent. Last week I happened to be there with several co-workers. As I’m finishing my order (you order like you’re at a burger joint and go sit down and wait for the food) the guy behind me is starting his order. He orders and the woman at the register asks him “How spicy?” He says “hot”. She says “Are you sure, out hot is really hot!”; “Oh yeah” he says, “I’m use to it”. He gets his food and digs in. Now, I’m really curious at this point to see how this guy’s lunch works out for him. He just didn’t look like the type of guy who eats “hot” Thai food. So anyways, he starts digging in and a few fork-fulls later he starts guzzling soda. And a few more forks and the soda’s gone. He goes and refills the soda, comes back and does the same. He went through 3 cups of soda and barely finished 1/2 of his meal before he threw it in the trash. At this point I can’t control my laughter. He turns the corner going to the bathroom, and a few seconds after someone from my table gets up to go to the bathroom, comes back and says “I think there’s a guy throwing-up in the bathroom”…. Well, well, well! Mr. “hot” wasn’t so tough after all. After emptying his stomach from the capzasin he quietly left. It was my lunch-time amusement
